No it is not. Although ham and dry sausages are popular. All meat varieties are used in the Mediterranean, beef, veal, lamb, pork, goat,and all varieties of fowl & seafood. They also use the meat or meats ground. They can be stewed, roasted, boiled, fried broiled and barbequed and some eaten raw as in carpaccio.

No, not judging by all the "autentic" Greek, Italian, and Lebanese restaurants I've eaten at in the USA. There are hunks of meat on kabobs, chicken pieces w/ bones that have been raosted, meatballs, kibbi, you name it.

They've got fabulous sausages, kebabs, meatballs, roasts, steaks, chops, birds, fish, etc.
