Call your local recycling coordinator in your community. They should be able to tell you how to go about it. Approach your principal with the info and also, have the students sign a petition that they want to have recycling available in the school.

You could also find a teacher who is very well liked and respected at school and ask them if they would be interested in helping you get the word out. If this approach isn't taken seriously then I would go to the principal with my concerns or find some of your friends who's parents are on the school board and see if they would bring the idea up. Just some thoughts, good luck with your recycling initiative!

you can tell your principle and they may orange to put recycling bins around the scool. thats a great idea!!! Good job. Another way you can recycle, esspecially this season is instead of throwing away your christmas tree (if you celabrate christmas) Put it in the woods. It shouldnt have to go to a land fill were it will just sit there and take up space but if it stays outside you are giving back to the enviorment...it will decompose and will provide shelter for animals...etc.

I would ask the Principle. And have him/her check the office supply store in your area to see if they have a recycling program. Most do and some offer you money for every ink cartridge you recycle. This can be extra money for your school.

Email/call the head custodian and principal about it. The principal will give approval and the custodian will set it up. Make it sound more appealing by offering to help set up th esystem as community service. If this doesn't work, get other students to help you push the idea. If the majority of the school wants it, it will happen.

I would start with the principal. The principal can provide recycling bins and arrange for pickup. If not he/she should be able to tell you how to get it done.

Start with the school board, then go to a town meeting. Also you can go to your local paper and share your views. This should get you a start. Best of luck to you.
