I want to know more about raw milk. Do you drink it? Is it safe? What are the risks and benefits?

I had raw milk before when I was a kid and it tasted a lot better than the stuff in the stores (and it a whole lot creamier too). As long as the milk is kept very cold and is used within a week and is chemical and hormone free then it's okay.

There are are risks of TB but the milk in UK will come from a TB free heard so all these risks are minimised to the point of almost no existence. By 'eck it tastes better and you get real cream of the top. So when you get it give the bottle good shake before you open it otherwise you will make a fool of your self claiming it has gone sour. I did so enjoy an arrogant fool making that same mistake at a campsite I was on some years ago. He was very rude indeed and should not ever speak to anyone in the way he did

I have been drinking raw milk from my own goats for 20 years. I won't drink anything else.

Depending on the laws for raw milk in your state, the legal raw milk might actually be cleaner and safer than pasteurized milk because the laws are so strict.

If your source is clean and the milk is fresh, there is very little risk. It might take some getting used to because it tastes different than pasteurized store bought milk.
