from the generation that never listened to me about shutting off the lights and tv when you left the room........now they look down at us because we don't drive a hybrid vehicle

let me change the "me' to" to "us"....I was offended by Ford's new commercial with the young girl telling her father not to drive all the way to their destination because everyone there drives a "hybrid car"
but I do notice he is driving out of "mcmansion" so driving a hybrid makes up for that....

Do not assume that you are the original thinker in conserving. My generation started before the depression of the 1930s when earnings were small , families were large, only the rich had cars and extremely few first generation Americans ever attended high school. College was for the "Yankees" and the landed gentry. Every penny was stretched to the limit. My duty as a preteen was to go to the market early Saturday morning to get the weekly soup bone( make sure there is some meat on it) to make a potfull of soup to last the week. Chicken raised in the back yard supplied eggs and when the hens were old enough they turned to soup as well. Conservation is still our bag so we attempt to recycle most everything that can be recycled.

I don't feel it to be valid to apoligize without making a solution. The population of this earth is out of control and too time consuming to run around and apoligize and for being arogant. But I will say the global warming isn't a hoex. I think time can only tell whether there will have a solution for it, that we will soon be nagging our children about. Meantime, anyone know where a good Hybrid dealer is, in Houston. Go Green! Not saying it's a solution but I think its a good step.

Laughs. Well, in terms of shutting off the lights and the tv, you can laugh all the way to the bank. You save money by conserving energy. As for hybrids...*shrugs* It's a popular fad, saving energy/money by turning off things was never a fad. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
