I'm assuming you mean bean curd... That's weird... I don't know. Maybe you have irritable bowel syndrome, or diabetes, and you're just associating it with curd because that's something you eat a lot? Examine the rest of your diet as well. I can't think of why it would make you sleepy, period. Maybe you're preparing it in an unhealthy way (like always frying it)?

Farting is a natural event for the body to undertake everyday. I assume you mean that there is more than normal when you eat curd.
Gas is the by-product of the bacteria in your gut that are eating the curd. If your stomach and small intestines are having a hard time digesting the curd, then the bacteria have more of the curd for them to digest and produce their methane gases. If you are having a hard time digesting "bean" curd, then you may want to soak the beans overnight. or cook the beans with seaweeds (kombu is big and nice to cook with beans), and make your own curd (there are inhibitor enzymes in the outer skin of the bean so it can pass through the digestion system of the animal who ate it and be planted in the pile of excrement as it comes out of the animal).
If it is "whey" curd, then you could be allergic to milk. Sleepiness is a side effect of the body fighting off something it doesn't like. Getting sick with a virus or bacteria will also make you sleepy. So you might just be allergic to the "curd".

The protein and sugar in the curd will make you sleepy. (That is why, by the way, milk before bed makes you sleep better)
Methane and carbon dioxide are a by-product of the bacteria working on the sugars while the food is in your gastrointestinal tract. The sugars in fruits are digested quicker, ergo you don't fart as much. The bean and milk curd stay in your GI tract longer and product more gas as a result.

I'm thinking you are talking about tofu (bean curd). You might be mildly allergric to soy products or you might need to take natural vegetarian food enzymes when you eat it and see if that helps you. Or as the old saying goes "Beans, beans the musical fruit the more you eat them the more you toot the more you toot the better you feel so eat beans at everymeal!"
