I know it's not vegan but I'm not sure about the ingredients so I'm not sure if it's vegetarian. I'm not talking about instant pudding that you make, I'm talking about those pudding cups you buy.

Wow, how hard is it to answer a simple question?? I understood you well enough. Hunts Snack Pack chocolate pudding cups ARE vegetarian. I would assume that other brands have similar ingredients, but check the package.

Vegetarianism/Veganism isn't a club or something. Its not like if you mess up once, you get your club membership taken from you. Its a mindset. I remember tons of times where I've slipped up. But from that point on it is up to you to make the conscious decision that yes, you messed up, but now you are aware, and then you choose not to eat it anymore. This is the part that separates you from being a vegetarian and not being one. If you decide to "accidentally" eat it again because no one is watching you, then technically that goes against the ideology of being against all things vegetarian. You could call yourself a vegetarian if you did that but it wouldn't be true. If you realized what you did, and from that point discontinued eating it, you're still considered a vegetarian. You have to realize that this kind of stuff is going to happen continuously throughout your life. Our society and people we know are so engrossed in a non-vegetarian lifestyle that non-vegetarian ingredients will sometimes slip into your foods from people that are not vegetarian/vegan. Sometimes it can be hard to get away from it. In a way - if its a norm of society, society indirectly pushes it on you. This is called cultural diffusion. Its almost like peer pressure. It can almost feel like society is pushing something on you and you have to literally get in people's face to refuse something sometimes.

vegetarian does not eat meat or meat products of any kind but, can and often does include dairy and eggs.
Vegan is no nothing not even honey as they consider bee keeping an abuse to the bees
You have to read the list of ingredients of which I'm sure there is dairy in pudding............personally I would not put most of that premade stuff in my body.........I don't want to be preserved before I"m dead lolol.
There are lots of different types of vegetarians just do what you want and be comfortable in what ever you do or do not eat.
May the joy, hope, peace and love of the season be with you and yours.

Anything you buy should have the ingredients listed on the side, so you can tell if it's vegetarian or not. If you're a strict vegetarian, then gelatin would make it non-vegeterian, for instance.

In most countries there's a code printed on the side of foods that's suitable for vegetarians - either a V symbol, or a tick surrounded in green. If your country supports that kind of labelling, then that would help you decide.
