Usually diabetic socks are less tight fitting to allow better circulation. This is a problem for most diabetics.

Apparently more of a cushion effect to help promote better circulation. Personally, I don't use them. I would rather control my diabetes so that I don't have to use them. So far, it's looking good. I haven't taken any medication in the past two days and my blood sugar has been 75 and 77 in the mornings and hasn't gotten over 110 during the day.

they help your legs from swelling. i lost my left eg about 4 years ago and m doctor told me never to wear colored sock because the dye can cause your feet to get infected . if you have a cut or blister colored socks are bad. i only wear White socks no matter what have on. diabetes have to take care of your feet or you will end up like me, with a artificial limb.

Diabetic socks do not have a toe seam that can be felt. They are woven, not seamed. They are also wider in the toe area (guaranteed to wrinkle and bunch up in my shoes) and are made of materials that are supposed to wick moisture away from the foot to keep it dry. They also do not have a tight calf elastic (stand down around my ankle in the wrinkled mode).

I found them not to be a good value for me. You might benefit from them, tho.
