Yes on both, she needs to know what it is to treat it first.
and it could be either pneumonia or pleurisy, but the green and yellow phlegm is indicative of infection, for which antibiotics would be needed.
In the old days natural healing and homeopathy were used exclusively, there being no antibiotics before the mid 1900s
Many people died of what could be cured after Fleming developed penicillin. Please override her dislike of traditional medicine, she shouldn't be in a position of living like someone in 1930, or dying like someone then either.

Well you didn't really state whether you had custody of the 5 year old when you first began living with your boyfriend or not. And you didn't mention your relationship to the child. Regardless the child is evidently someone you care about or you wouldn't have taken in the responsibility at age 47. And the child must need you to take care of them for whatever reasons. So maybe your boyfriend didn't want the responsibility of raising another child. But if he is ditching you because you have opened your heart to a needy child then is he really worth keeping around. Things change in all relationships. If you love someone enough then you deal with the changes the best you can and continue on. If you don't love someone enough and changes happen that you can't deal with then you move on. If your boyfriend doesn't want to be there because of a 5 year old then I would show him the door. If you care enough about each other then you could still see each other without living together. But if he is trying to get you to chose him over a child then I would give him the boot. That is a sign of too many insecurities. It could possibly just another child for you to deal with. I agree with some of the other responses about him just looking for an excuse. And either way I would ask him to find somewhere else to live. How healthy could it be for a 5 year old to live with so much negativity and disapproval? Put the child first. You'll feel better about yourself in the long run.

Possibly pnuemonia, can be diagnosed simply by listening to her breath sounds with a stethoscope, though most doctors want a chest xray to be sure. Antibiotics are the treatment required for pnuemonia.

She must be seen by a doctor and probably get antibiotcs. Natural healing and all that is good, and people should not get medication if not necessary, but she must not jeopardise her health either: if she has a fever and a bad wet cough SHE NEEDS MEDICATION.
