Make the theme Western and have everyone wear chaps!
Or do you have a theme....?
My only "real" suggestion is that the food be things that can be prepared ahead with little prep time on the day of the party....
Maybe a nice little party favor of some sort...

Since you love to dance, clear the furniture out of one room and turn it into a dance floor. I did this one New Years Eve and it was GREAT. Get a strobe light and some decorations, good music (and drinks!) and dance the night away!

I think you have to have party games. The right game will get your guests all interacting and socializing and will enjoy themselves. Laughter and merriment are always remembered by party goers.

The people you invite! Make sure you have ice breakers in mind if they don't have much in common- name that tune game or charades are fun!

make it a 70's theme party....bell bottoms,long hair,afro's.polyester suits,hot pants.groovy!
