I'm curious what people think about HIV. It's funny how the US seems to want to make it look like HIV is spreading throughout the US and across the nation. There are books written by doctors stating that HIV is a HOAX. When the doctors believe that someone is HIV positive they automatically want to prescribe meds to them. Do you think this is because they want a commission from the prescriptions they write? I have known several people where the doctors say "YOU HAVE HIV" but they have refused to take meds and there fine. So why would this be? So what do you think? Do you think it's a crock?

Keep in mind that people have died only from Aids related symptoms. No one has actually died from Aids. Read what Dr. Kerry Mullis has to say about Aids & HIV. His quote is on the upper right hand of the website i have provided.

well human immunodeficiency virus is a precursor to AIDS. when someone has HIV essentially the human cells are being converted into virus cell...when you have HIV you don't have symptoms normally...sometimes HIV can last for years or months before someone has AIDS....when they are diagnosed with AIDS that means that persons immune system has failed and they usually die from other complications like the flu or tuberculosis...so the answer is no its not a crock

you apparently don't know very much about the way the HIV Virus works, nor have you ever chatted with someone working in the HIV/AIDS field or living with the disease.
check back with those people who refuse meds in a few years and see if they're still fine.
Only a doctor can diagnose someone with AIDS. The AIDS diagnosis occurs when an HIV+ person has a CD4 (T cell) count below 200 and/or one of the AIDS Defining illnesses (Kaposi's Sarcoma, TB, PCP Pneumonia, etc, there are 26). The virus attacks the immune system and eventually renders the body incapable of fighting off these opportunistic infections that most people do not have to worry about.
In other words, it's definitely not a hoax and you should probably check into some more reliable and valid resources.

Viruses mutate this makes them very hard to study at times.
HIV can take up to 10 years to show symptoms. You can live with it for a long time and you may not ever get full blown aids you can be just a carrier.
Right now testing isn't always accurate that is why they encourage to test at 3 month, 6 months, and 1 year after you think you may have been exposed.
A lot of money and research is being conducted and even though HIV/AIDS has been around for awhile it still is new in the effect of having research done on it etc.
EDIT: Aids brings on alot of complication that most patients do die from things like Kaposi cancer. Only people infected with HIV/AID get this type of cancer. AIDS effects helper T cells those cells basically are your last resort of your bodies immune system.

I second RN's remarks as she is absolutely right.
(RN and I have in the past been in complete agreement on each other's answers as we are both highly experienced medical professionals).
HIV is the VIRUS which can (and in many cases, does) lead to AIDS, which is Acquired Immune Deficiency SYNDROME. The syndrome means that a person does not have the ability to fight off viruses and bacteria that in most cases, would be of little or no danger to a person with a healthy immune system. This depletion of the immune system often leads to death through infection.
Like RN, I have treated and cared for many people with HIV and AIDS. Why don't you ask them (some of whom were in the final stages and have unfortunately passed away) if HIV and AIDS are a hoax?
You will find that you are sadly mistaken.
That's all I have to say. RN said the rest.

Um...no.
So what about all those people who've died from AIDS ?
Where are they?
Just hanging out on that mysterious island with the entire cast of "LOST" ?
~30 minutes later~
Yeah but they still died as a result of contracting the virus.
If HIV/AIDS are a hoax then what's making these people
so ill ?

1] doctors don't get commisions - it is illegal. Some drug reps do give free lunches to their office on occasion - pizza, chinese, etc.
2] show me the positive test of the people who are 'fine'.
3] show me the credentials of the 'doctors' who write books suggesting HIV/AIDS is a hoax.
4] I have taken care of people dying of this 'hoax'.
You are dangerous to even suggest this is a crock - suppose one person believes you, and doesn't use protection and gets HIV or AIDS?
In my book, that makes you guilty of reckless endangerment, and eventually murder.

nicely it extremely is basically relevent to a consultant-lifestyles argument to speak approximately toddlers getting observed besides, because of the fact the alternative is abortion or giving a infant away for adoption. you're good that there are a number of babies in carehomes that desire adopting who no-one needs (adoption turns into no longer likely from the age of 7), yet that would not impact the certainty that there are plenty a human beings waiting to undertake the toddlers that woujld extremely be killed. playstation i'm no longer particularly professional-lifestyles, i'm in simple terms being logical

AIDS is an immune deficiancy disease.... THEREFORE it weakens the immune system so you will catch everything out there that there is to "catch" and it'll kill you because you no longer have an immune system to fight anything off...
So, have people died of AIDS??? Uuummm YEAH....
You need to do more research before you make illinformed opinions.... :o)
