Well, considering I have not learned how to communicate effectively with chickens, how would I know she was suicidal? And even if I could determine that she was pretty unhappy, I think I would try to alleviate the situation and remove the stressors that were making her suicidal so she could live a relatively content life.

And it's "afterwards." An "afterword" is an epilogue to a book. And please learn to punctuate.

Wow, another stupid hypothetical question designed to make vegetarians look as though there are gaping holes in our logic.

The only suicidal chickens I know of are the billions of chickens in the factory farming system. The conditions in which they are kept would make anyone suicidal. And millions of Americans eat them afterwords every day. I still won't, but I'm sure you don't really care.

If a chicken was suicidal (I know, just answering the question) I would save it and give it a good home (seriously). Ha ha, funny, I know. Not really.... Animal cruelty and animal depression jokes are not funny. Wouldn't it be funny if one of yours pets was depressed, and you killed it and ate it? Funny now? And yes, chickens do think you ignorant jerk. And animals can get depressed, just like people. Obviously you're an uneducated moron who comes here to make fun of people for fun.

I think you will first need to figure out what is making the chicken so upset. Lack of chickenly activities? Got turned down by a rooster? Attempt to help the chicken over it's grief. If it cannot, hand over the razor blades and make sure you prepare a nice funeral and invite its friends and family so they can say goodbye. And of course by funeral I mean stew and by friends and family I mean potatoes and carrots.

If it was clear that leaving the chicken alive would be cruel and inhumane, then I would kill it ( much like people put down their dogs).

I would not eat it however, as there is no need to. would you eat a dog that you had put down? ( they taste good apparently, they eat them in Asia)
