Hello Everyone,
Well I think ive told my story a few times before. Im sure you all know talking about it makes it easier. I have had herpes 1 and 2 since I was a child. Interestingly enough , I simply have always had it. My parents had it so ... not sure if thats how I got it.
Anyways for me the hardest part of herpes is having hs1 and the outbreaks, mainly because I was embarrassed of having peopel know I had it. I have never had an hsv2 out break, so I guess I am lucky in that sense.
I had tried literally everything , Acyclovir, Valtrex, Abreva, diet changes, you name it I tried it. 3 Years ago I used a topical (Ill include the link below) and since then I have had only 2 outbreaks, which before I would get them like a few people 1 or 2 every 4 to 5 months.
This is hoenstly the best thing I had ever used, it was a lil expensive but considering it works.. It change dmy life and improved my self esteem. I know I will always have herpes but also know I have learned to control it.
With the topical, if yo uput it on it dries out the sores almost instantly and it turns black. it burns like hell for about 20 minutes..but thats ok.
I did alot of reserach on it and this is what i learned..herpes is one of the smartest disease..as it retreats back to our spinal cords..there it hides until it wants to shed (the sore)... it sheds and then returns. Consider herpes as something similar to the hair on your head. There our several strands.. so if you use the topical it kills the nerve attached to the strand and hence diminishes that strand of the virus..eventually you kill off each one and like time, yo uhave less outbreaks. ... sounds crazy but I have to believe it works because i have only had 2 outbreaks. Eitherway its a great place to find info and it goes on sale every once in a while..
PS.. I stopped taking Valtrex!!!! : )
Hope that helps.
Mike

There is no treatment that can cure herpes, but antiviral medications can shorten and prevent outbreaks during the period of time the person takes the medication. Valtrex and Acyclovir are two such medications.
But don't upset by it. Many people can manage it now. For more tips, I recommend a herpes Dating site to you: http://www.stdpal.com. Most of the users here can deal with it easily now. You can blog them to get more support and information. Good luck!

I got clinically diagnosed with herpes (type 2) about four years ago, whilst I was still in college and had a dumb one-night stand. I realize loads of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone that has sores round her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/P4Um4 everything improved.
Not only was I able to eradicate all remnants of the herpes virus from my system in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This system provided the chance to be happy and experience true love again. Now I want to help others too by sharing this story.

unfortunately herpes, like all viruses, has no cure. But there are medications to minimize the symptoms.

There isn't one.
But taking one L-Lysine every day can prevent outbreaks. If you do end up with an outbreak, double or triple the daily dose. Depending on where the sore is (mouth, skin, anything external) you can crush the lysine, add a tiny bit of water and put it directly on it.

None, sorry. There are some antivirals that you can use to suppress infections, but you still might be contagious. Sorry, it's a bummer and nobody knows for sure even when taking antivirals. Please take the other person into account if you are going to put them at risk (source: microbiologist and former disease intervention specialist).
