ok im dating this guy and he has been with a lot of girls. i mean A LOT. anyways im sorta scared he might have herpes or some other sort of disease. is there a disease you can get from kissing besides herpes. and what are the symptoms? he probably wont know if he has any cuz were still in middle school so he wouldnt go to the doctor and check. plz help

well, no, aside from oral herpes, you cannot get a disease from kissing. But frankly, knowing this guy is a player, why would you seriously consider him for relationship matireal?
You don't mind sleeping with every girl he's been with? because if you sleep with him, that is what you are doing. And if he refuses testing...he's got something to hide. Do you see red flags all over this? you should.

OMG don't touch him! The two most common STDs are Chlamydia and 1 in 4 people have Genital herpes! Chlamydia can leave a woman sterile btw (unable to have babies)> Chances are he has something...Don't even get involved with him and you can get mononucleosis and Herpes from kissing him. There is no cure for Herpes and mono is a real pain.

You say he has been with "A LOT"
You should be scared with all the diseases out there. For example: AIDS can go on undetected for many years!
And since he's been with a lot of other people, how could you even be comfortable with that.
I'm sure youre not the last and he's going to be with a lot more people in the future. He sounds like a player and you should avoid that guy.

Mononucleosis (Kissing disease) is a viral infection causing fevers, sore throat, and swollen lymph glands, especially in the neck. It is usually linked to the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), but can also be caused by other organisms such as cytomegalovirus (CMV).
Symptoms:
Fever
Sore throat
Swollen lymph nodes, especially in the neck and armpit
General discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling
Drowsiness
Loss of appetite
Muscle aches or stiffness
Swollen spleen
Rash
Less frequently occurring symptoms include:
Jaundice (yellow cast to skin)
Headache
Neck stiffness
Sensitivity to light
Cough
Shortness of breath
Chest pain
Rapid heart rate
Fatigue
Nosebleed
Hives
Please note that bacterial STDs are curable , but viral STDs are not. Please take HPV vaccine against genital warts.

Why do you need help staying away from someone who could possible infect you with an STD that could be with you for the rest of your life?
