Wow! I'm surprised so many people said yes. The point isn't if people love them. They may be yummy, and fluffy and sweet and very popular, but it's a "Cookie Exchange Party"!!! The point IS, that it's a COOKIE exchange party. Those are not cookies. So no... it's not appropriate. Make some cookies... that's what's expected. Probably a good idea not to make a chocolate chip too... most likely, there are too many of those already. But home made... not sliced Pillsbury dough.

I wouldn't. Cookie exchange parties are generally about exchanging special holiday cookie recipes and folks often go to great lengths to bring their "best." There is nothing whatever special or holiday about crispy treats. Other no-nos: store bought, cookies from the bakery and cookies from a mix.

if you are that worried about it, here is a trick. make the crispy treats but put right after you take them out of the oven put a hershey kiss in the center of where you would be cutting each square. that way it is more of a cookie than a treat.

I suppose, but why don't you try double chocolate chip cookies, or cut out the brownies with cookie cutters? Something to show you made an effort and want to get into the spirit of cookie exchange.

Definitely! I'd eat them. I have brought things like that when it was a "cookie" exchange. Cookies can be boring after a while.

Happy Holidays!

I think that's okay. I love rice crispies!
And if anyone has any problems, use some cookie cutters and make them into shapes, ha.

I think it would be okay. But I would add a little twist to it such as adding a drizzle of chochlate syrup or M&M's in Christmas colors. There is prob tons more you can do but that is just a few suggestions.
