I am diabetic too, anything that is made with splenda is good. Or fruits and veggies like celery with Pb. a good drink is crystal light, or diet coke. go to www.diabetic-recipes.com, or diabetic.betterrecipes.com.by the way anything with high starch levels such as bread, noodles and potatoes is never a good choice it will shoot his sugar way up.
Good luck and Merry Christmas

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Well the diabetics I know all eat the Christmas meal, they just watch out for all the desserts and that kind of thing. You could look online at a diabetic sites about what type of salads or other foods would be good. We also do not change the whole meal to fit the diabetic as that is not fair to the rest of the family thats expecting all of the traditional food, we just try and add a few things. We also have a fresh veggie tray out with dip, and fresh fruits. We make sugar free jello with bananas in it. The diabetics in our family also just eat the normal meal of potatos, meat, and sides. They just take smaller portions of things they know might have high carbs or sugar.

each diabetic is slightly distinctive, counting on the fashion of drugs they are on and the fashion of diabetes that they have got. the appropriate theory is to ask your uncle (or his spouse if he has one) what he can devour and what he particularly ought to circumvent. A observe approximately that sugar loose candy: in case you study the equipment heavily you will see that the vast majority of it says to not devour extra advantageous than 4 or 5 products an afternoon - in particularly info. there's a superb clarification for that. Out of nowhere you could finally end up hit with on the spot and uncontrollable diahrrea. those products isn't an excellent suggestion to have mendacity around! one among my sisters has diabetes. Nibbles like olives, cheese, & salsa go over properly, as does buffet provider the place she would be able to help herself to basically a tiny volume of countless issues. Fruit is a substantial no-no - too lots sugar - as is in simple terms about all alcohol.

He'll probably eat most of the items you are serving for dinner. My diabetic grandmother would eat a piece of fresh fruit for dessert rather than the pie the rest of us were having.

For snacks, how about some raw veggies, some fruit, cheese and crackers. Just things with out lots fo sugar. He may want a glass of low-fat milk at sometime as well.

With the newer types of insulin these days, diabetic diets aren't necessarily as restrictive as they used to be. Read here https://tr.im/n8mVb
As with any medicine or diet change, you should discuss it with your doctor. Fruits, both fresh and dried, have a natural sugar in them that will raise blood sugar levels, so be careful about eating too much. Not sure about the nuts. Moderation is always the key. I've been diabetic for 18 years and just recently changed insulin types. I love it because it gives me more freedom in when and what I eat.

I am type 2 . Watch out on sugar free stuff. If it has high SUGAR ALCOHOL in the ingredients that acts like a laxative. Pop corn is good for snacking. He will know how much he cam eat of whatever. Keep diet soda around and also nuts. Making the effor tgoes a long way to the person. Asking himc what to have or not have will goa long way to making him welcome.

I have to agree with most of the responders here that say to ask your Uncle. The reason for this is that Type 2 diabetics are free to handle their diabeties in different ways. If he chooses he can have fruit, sm. amounts of starches or sugar and cover them with medication.

But if he is controling through diet alone then he won't be eating anything with sugar or starch (this includes most commercialy availble candys as many have sugar alcohols).

So Please, check with him Here's a great site for low carb food, they even have "faux potatoe or stuffing" recipes plus loads of great sweet treats that are easy to make and have no affect of glucose levels. www.lowcarbers.org just go to their kitchen section. Happy Holidays

Uncreamed vegetables, just steamed with a little butter?

The sugar free candy is just truely nasty stuff and generally gives problems due to the sugar alcohols used as sweeteners!!

Apples, cream cheese, peanutbutter, cheeses, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, lots of things. One of my favorite snacks is thin apple slices with flavored cream cheese.

Be sure to ask him about what his favorite snackies are!!!

Remember that diabetics can and do eat good "junk" too, just in very small amounts. I will be baking my favorite devils food chocolate cake with dark chocolate custard filling and 7 minute icing!!! And yes, I will have a small serving of it during the holidays.
