You should discuss this with your doctor ... and if your doctor is no help you will need to talk with a social worker.

I would strongly suggest you rearrange your budget to afford insulin, without which a type I diabetic will get sick and quite possibly die over days to weeks.

I guess you must have type 2 diabetes and can probably last longer without it, but if you truly have diabetes and your doctor has prescribed insulin you should do your utmost to get it.

You have several options:

Your doctor should have samples in his office. They are given to the doctors by drug reps. to help patients who can not afford their medications. My husband get his insulin from his diabetic doctor. Talk to your doctor and tell him you can't afford your insulin. If he doesn't have any on hand he should be able to tell you where to go to get help with your meds.

Most everywhere there are clinics for low income people that can help get you free medications. Look in the phone book, or call your local hospital for information.

There is PPA ( Partnership for Prescription Drugs ). They will either give them to you free or at a very low cost depending on your income. Phone 1-888-477-2669

Call the drug company that makes your insulin( name and phone number should be on your insulin vial),and explain your problem. Sometimes they will get your information and will send you free medication through the mail or will send you a voucher to take to your pharmacy for a three month supply.

I don't know what type of insulin you take, but Wal-Mart has certain types in the Reli On brand, which is much cheaper than some of the other insulins. They also have the Reli On insulin syringes, which is a lot cheaper than others.

You also might want to contact The American Diabetes Assn., if all these other suggestions fail.

I wish you the best of luck . I sure hope this will help. Just don't give up. There is help out there. You will just have to search for it.

Have a blessed day.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Check out medical charities in your state. This drug is your life! Check out ways to qualify for this medicare thing. No one should suffer because the state is too mean to help.
But hey! This is America and the land of opportunity! Yours is an opportunity to die without your insulin - sue the state for endangering your life - attempted murder, maybe!

I got mine for half the price from Canada Pharmacy (online). They sent it from Europe though so you have to leave 3 weeks for delivery. There is also a program I found online (can't recall the name) that sends the insulin for nearly free to your doctor to dispense. You have to fill out forms stating your need and the doctor has to sign off too. I didn't try this one but it sounded legit.

Try going to your county's hospital. Most of them offer assistance based on income. Find a local Diabetes Support Group to gear you in the right direction.

I don't understand why you don't qualify for medicare or medicaid, at least, if you can't afford a drug to keep you alive. Call your department of health and ask what you should do. There will be some sort of assistance available to you.
