the only way to find out if you have an STD is to go to the doctor and get tested. Usually gonorrhea and chlamydia, if you are a woman then a pap smear will be helpful, syphyllis test which is a blood test and probably some other types of blood and culture tests. After you've had that you need to find out if your partner is faithful

Your doctor can tell you. I'm hoping that you are talking about Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).

If you are worried you might have an STD you could see your own family doctor and (s)he could do a check up, including a physical examination, a urine sample and a blood test for Hep B, Hep C and HIV.

Go to your doctor and have them do a screening. They can do blood work and an internal vaginal exam to look for other things.

Protection is the best way to prevent it.
