If they're both clean, can you still get STD's from unprotected sex?

Damn, I'm not having sex with 2 different girls. It was just a question. I'm only 13 and this is like a question that we don't have in Sex Ed.

Yes, you can still get STDs. And "unprotected" doesn't just mean from disease, you know. Whose "baby daddy" would you want to be? Seriously, you can't just "tell" if someone is clean, even if they say so. Not all STDs are readily detectable without testing. Some girls don't have any symptoms and wouldn't think to get tested. Girls often get yeast infection from guys who picked it up from some other girl. He may not know that he's a "carrier" at that time. Condoms just make good sense, whether to help prevent disease or pregnancy.

If you have to ask this question you probably should not have sex at all.

In fact, go buy a video or book or ask your parents or something how STD's work right now. Also, look at some pictures of STD victims. Its not pretty. I know a guy who's thingy looks like a rotten banana from ONE TIME with a girl carrying syphilis. Just because they aren't showing symptoms doesn't mean they aren't a carrier.

well how do you know that they are clean first of all? they can tell you that they are but that doesn't mean that they are. the answer is no, you cannot get and std from anyone who does not have an std but if you have unprotected sex then your only asking for trouble. just remember no sex is worth dying for! best wishes

No, the disease has to already be there. Otherwise, it would be as natural as having children. However, there is no guarantee that they were actually clean - the tests aren't 100% accurate, and they could have gotten infected just after they had the test done. And there's always the potential problems associated with bacterial infection if you indulged in an*l sex, although these can uusually be cleared up with antibiotics pretty easily..

unless they are both virgins there is no way of knowing whether a person is "clean" or not. People can be carriers for STDs without knowing it.

Since you're engaging in risky sexual practices by having unprotected sex with multiple people, they are much more likely to get something from you than you are from them.

Yes. We can look all washed up and shiny and smell sweet and clean, but that means NOTHING when it comes to getting an STD. If they had unprotected sex with you, they probably have it with many other people, which essentially means you are having sex with all their other partners too.

You can't tell if a girl has an STD judt by looking. Of course, there are things that show, but some things you would have no indication that the girl has anything going on. That's how people end up with herpes....
