I have high potassium and hypertension......potassium is said to be lowering hypertension....
i have no idea what i'm supposed to eat....
Can a doctor/person with knowledge please help me out?

Potassium does not lower blood pressure. Only by losing weight, 30 minutes of exercise daily and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables (both raw and cooked) will lower your blood pressure and potassium. Avoid bananas, salt substitutes, salty snacks will help too.

Eat less animal fat like hamburger, eggs & cheese. Lower your potassium. Food high in Potassium are Potatoes, tomatoes, bananas & beans. Cooking vegetables reduces potassium.

Some of the common foods that are high in potassium are: potato, milk, banana, and orange juice. Usually they restrict potassium to 2000mg.
