I'm having a Cookie Exchange for my team at work - I'm the Team Cheerleader, so I have to come up with motivations to distract everyone from the high stress of the job.

Each person brings a dozen cookies of their choice - usually homemade. I got about 15 sacks from Walmart for about $3, they are green/red/white striped, with HO HO HO on them - very holiday-ish... they had some snowman ones, Rudolph ones, etc, too. I mix the cookies up and put one of each kind into each sack, and then pass the sacks back out to my coworkers - everyone that brought a dozen cookies gets to take home a dozen cookies - but a mixed up bag of cookies. My coworkers are pretty excited about it, too!

Hope this helps, and good luck with the partying!

Write a one page 'play' -- like a story about an old time town celebrating Christmas. Then change a lot of the words to fill ins. Have everyone suggest words to fill the blanks. Print off some copies and have several people take turns reading it.

example:
Long ago in a (adjective) town at Christmas time, the people decided to decorate the (noun) with (adjective) wreaths and shiny (noun). They would have a parade around the town (shape) led by a little (farm animal) and a (wild animal). Then they would have a party with lots of (a food) to eat and (a drink) to drink.

The results are always fairly (silly) funny. I used to do this with church kids -- jr high & high school; so I think it would work. Much of the fun is in picking the words, and feeling like the whole group wrote it.

Do some fun "kid" stuff... like "Mother May I"... Have a spelling Bee... Play hop scotch... hey adults love to just let go and be kids again... they might like to cut loose and have some real laughter.
