Hi being diabetic does not mean you cannot become pregnant. I faced diabetes while bearing my first child. Just keep your sugary intake low, stick to diets low in carbs as well. Do check up often and always maintain a normal blood sugar level. If you intend to get pregnant avoid slimming pills and medications labelled not suitable for pregnant women. And do not be discouraged if you have not conceived yet. You can talk to your family gp or specialist. Diabetese is not severe it needs self control and proper care. My family is mostly suffering from it. My mum drives goes around having a normal life at 60 with diabetes. My son is now 4 and healthy.
