nothing except stop calling them a vegetarian?

How is that possible?

I guess you mean "if you see someone who says he is a vegetarian" or "someone you thought was vegetaran."

If someone said he or she is "vegetarian" and ate meat in front of me it would depend on how well I knew the person and how comfortable I was in the situation.

If I knew the person pretty well, I might ask them why they say that. If I didn't know them very well, I'd probably just roll my eyes and think "yeah, right."

It hasn't been an issue for years though. I know a lot of people who are eating less meat and haven't totally given it up, but none of them claim to be vegetarian.

Why not just ask them why they are eating meat? If you do so in a respectful way, then you can find out more about their dietary preferences and habits, or you might also be alerting them to the fact that what they are eating has meat products in it (obvious if it's something like a steak, not obvious if it's something like McDonald's french fries).

It's not possible to see a vegetarian eat meat.

Anyone that puts meat to their lips is not vegetarian at all.

You could just ask "I thought you were vegetarian" and see what they say. But don't judge them. They can eat what they want.

They wouldn't be a vegetarian if they eat meat. If someone told you that they were a vegetarian and eats meat, they lied to you.

Stop & think about it for a minute...if a vegetarian is now eating meat then maybe they have finaly come back to the real world & quit living in a fantasy land...perhaps you should too.

Don't say anything. I am a vegetarian with strong convictions against eating meat, but in the end it is the choice of the others. If they truly hate it, one taste and they'll taste death in the their mouth. Trust me.

Nothing, it is none of my business.
But if they eat meat, then they aren't really a vegetarian.

Nothing, it is really none of your business. Some do eat chicken or fish, and others don't. I think that is up to them, and is private.
