Would I just be coughing alot or would there be no way to find out?

Trust me you'd know. Your lungs are very sensitive organs and respond to foreign objects by trying to expel them. The most effective of which is the cough reflex. An you would be coughing quite a lot. Not to mention at the end of the main bronchial tube before it branched off to the right and left lung is the carina. This area is so sensitive that when fluid and secretions are moved up and out of the lungs and touch that spot it automatically triggers a cough. Hope this helps.

well when i inhaled chips , i started coughing and my lungs was really sore then the next day i felt like i had broncitus my breathing was wheezy and rattled a little. but the only way i know of to really find out is to go to the doctors and they can do a mri or a xray and possibly tell you

In person, a doctor can listen with a stethoscope or take an x-ray. Over the Internet, I can' do anything to help.

you would be coughing a lot, and if you're talking about serious pneumonia--either from breathing something in or an infection-- you would have trouble breathing, and pain when you breathe in. getting a chest x-ray shows if you have pneumonia.

(pneumonia literally means stuff in your lungs, it doesn't just refer to the respiratory infection we usually think of as pneumonia)
