I didn't know yogurt contained gelatin. I just found out it does. This sucks because I actually like yogurt like yolplait and la creme and it's really healthy. Can anyone recommend some brands that have vegetarian yogurt?

It's perfectly normal to feel sad about giving up your favorite foods. My feelings went beyond just being sad- I became very depressed. It's been about 9 months for me now, and I've pretty much come to grips with what I've given up. Most of my old faves tastes just as good without the meat- even meatball subs and donairs! There definitely will be sadness, but that will eventually pass. As a vegetarian you can eat eggs/dairy if you choose. I do. In an ideal world I'd be vegan, but I'm not ideal, and neither is my world, so for now I'm a vegetarian. You can still have your ice cream and yogurt. If soy products weren't so disgusting, I would already be vegan. :)

I don't know about dairy yogurt, but all the non-dairy yogurts are fine. I think Solgurt brand tastes the most like real yogurt, but there are many other brands.

It's mostly low-fat yogurts that contain gelatin. The regular ones often do not.

You could try soy yogurt. Whole Soy & Company, Silk, and Stonyfield all make soy yogurts, but only Whole Soy is reliably vegan.

You could also try organic dairy yogurts, but part of being veg*an is checking labels.

Try some organic yogurts like Nancy's or Horizon.

im srry, but i dont know about any vegan yogurts.
however, i did want to inform you about other items that contain gelatin:

skittles
starburst
a lot of cake frosting
gummybears
and a lot of other junk foods.

also try to avoid glycerin(e).
glycerin is either animal or vegetable fat
it can be found in:
some soaps
some toothpaste (colgate has vegetarian glycerin)
and most gum
