Please describe "shortness of breath". Does shortness of breath occure at rest? How was the onset? Sudden? Do you have a cold? What medication do you take? Do you have any other symptoms or disease?

Anyways, I would strongly suggest to see a doctor.

Smoking does and will contribute to shortness of breath, so will heart problems. You also can be an asthmatic, and experiencing an asthma attack. You should see a doctor, and explain very clearly when you have this shortness of breath. If when you are watching TV, or running around the house, jogging...etc. Asthma is nothing to mess with. Neither is heart problems....see a good doctor, and explain everything. AND smoking is bad, we all know that.....so is breathing car exhaust.......

Definitely from smoking. Could be from medication as well.

Is there a warning on your medication stating you shouldn't smoke while taking it?

Be careful.

could be both. but for sure smoking will not help.

quit the smoking and take up jogging or something, your lungs start to repair themselves 30 minutes after your last smoke
