I think you should just respect her choice to be a vegetarian and get over it...to be honest. It's her choice...just like it's your to eat meat.
When someone switched my veggie burger with a real one...it didn't make me want to quit being a vegetarian...it made me sick and very mad at them to say the least.
As a vegetarian...I will tell you she gave it up for a reason...she still can eat it anytime if she wanted...she obviously doesn't want to. Be nice and supportive of her choice....at the very least don't disrespect her choice and go against her wishes like that. If you choose to do that...I will bet money a very nasty fight will follow. Don't be mean alright. Respect her choices. It would mean the world to her if you just said your a vegetrian and that's alright. There are so many things stacked up against us vegetarians as it is....think about it..how much support do we really have? Not a whole lot. Just saying I respect your choice even though I don't agree and will never be one is so comforting to hear...especially from someone special. Respect..love..support.. be nice K.

its decietful to sneak anything to your wife. you married her knowing she was vegetarian and its disrespectful to contaminate her food with anything that she would not approve of. its really disgusting that you would even think such a think. how would you like it if she gave you a tuna and salad sandwich an you found out it was whiskas tuna in aspic or made you a lovely pate and found out it was mydog liver pate? Would you like that would you? No I bet you would not. I dont care if its fake meat being in any kind of relationship is about trust and respect. You sound like a very imature little boy who does not value your relationship. Grow up
lazarusl: Thankyou for sharing you could be sued for your dispicable behaviour for one - Moslems and Jews will not eat Pork products and what you have done is vile and a total disregard to your profession. Secondly is absolutely pathetic that your boss (you dont sound intelligent enough to own your own eating house) has to pay you while you ruin his restraunt reputation with your little school boy pranks. How would you like it if you went somewhere and some one pxssed in your cola or tea? Or spat in your food - would you see the other side? I seriously doubt it. Leave the cooking trade and keep your dignity.

Do you realise that it could go the other way entirely? If my hubby poisoned me with meat me I'd be after a good old D.I.V.O.R.C.E.
Why change the person you love? That is not very healthy.
P.S. Do 'chefs' that sneak meat ingredients into veggie dishes realise that they could be sued for doing that - especially if they are in the USA ?

If you're seriously thinking of doing this, it just shows a complete lack of respect that you have for her. You two need to see a marriage counselor and rebuild trust in your marriage.

Why are you trying to convert her? Why are you trying to DECEIVE her? Don't you love your wife? Do you want to make her sick? Are you willing to take care of her when she gets sick from the flesh you fed her? And when she got sick and found out, do you think she would ever trust you again?
Are you willing to live with that?

If you disrespect your wife this thoroughly, what pray tell is your marriage based on? Sneaking meat to someone who has made a conscious choice to avoid it is beyond unethical. You're treating her like she belongs to you and I think that's despicable.

LOL I always tell my friend I am going to do that. Why don't you just make a deal with her that you will eat vegetarian for a week if she will try to eat meat for you..... IF it is not an issue for her that you turn vegan leave the woman alone.
