The sablefish (scientific name Anoplopoma fimbria) is in Italian "merluzzo nero".

Previous answer "merluzzi" is 2 times wrong. In fact as first "merluzzi" is plural, but also "merluzzo" (aka "merluzzo bianco") would be wrong since it's a different fish, which scientific name is "Gadus morhua" http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gadus_morhua
