Yes, I've had a heart attack, and the symptoms you describe sound precisely the ones you'd expect with angina. The pains usually come with exertion and disappear with rest. They differ slightly between men & women, but the commonality is that it feels like heartburn to start with, then the deep, cold, radiating pains.

You should be given a 'puffer' spray to alleviate the symptoms. Has your doctor done this?

If it IS angina, you should be concerned, and should arrange to have a Bruce Protocol Exercise test, with EKG, etc, and B/P monitors by your doctor.

You should arrange for this at the very soonest possible time.

I was exactly the same, and was lucky in that my heart attack came in bed at 2 o'clock a.m and my dear wife drove me (racing the police!!) straight to the hospital.
