If he has already been diagnosed with an irregular heart beat then he has already probably had an EKG. Most irregularities in the heart beat are benign and cause no problems. Stress, caffeine, lack of sleep, multiple things can increase the number of irregular beats but they still do not cause problems. If the irregularity was serious, his doctor would have told him at that time. Intermittent chest pain in younger adults is often muscle related and can be treated with some ibuprofen. Unrelenting chest pain which is associated with any arm pain, shortness of breath, sweating or nausea should be checked by a physician, otherwise, he can try treating this himself and see how he does.

I had this type of problem when i was in my early twenties. Just by reading the symptoms, it sounds stress related. You stated he has an irregular heartbeat and i would assume if it was serious, the doctor would told him and sent him for further tests. Too much caffeine and stress can cause palpatations and even the pain in the chest. If he is really concerned about this, then i would send him to a doctor to get an EKG (ElectroCardioGram) done. My doctor did this without sending me to a specialist or hospital. I hope this helps.

i would go to another doctor for another oppinion, try a cardiologist this time. your heart isnt something to ignore or settle for. if the problem, if there is a problem, was overseen or was ata stage when it was undectectable, it is very possible that the condition was indeed not seen. also yes, try to lose the extra weight, healthy heart or no, carrying extra weight is just stress on your heart and legs and further problems to come to. the problems you describe here do seem irregular, try a new diet or maybe it might just be indegestion.

He should need to be check by a cardiologist, irregular heart beat is something serious and could kill a person, it could be an atrial fibrillation. Weights has nothing to do with it! Go get check up & tested for this condition with your cardiologist, its imperative!

When he was diagnosed with irregular heart beat, if the Dr. took an EKG, then he would have seen any complications or things to worry about.

Alway's check out heart pain. It could be stress or anxiety. You know, you don't have to be overweight to have heart issues. It could be his diet. Clogged arteries. But, guessing is not cool. Just get it checked out. A change in diet may be all that's necessary. But, don't underestimate stress. It can do some strange things to the human body.

the irregular heartbeat could be sinus arrhythmia which is harmless. heart palpitations and chest pain could be caused by severe stress and anxiety. but if it were me, i'd go see a cardiologist and get a stress test and EKG done. good luck
