Doctors used to believe migraines were linked to the opening and narrowing of blood vessels in the head. Now they believe the cause is related to genes that control the activity of some brain cells. Medicines can help prevent migraine attacks or help relieve symptoms of attacks when they happen. For many people, treatments to relieve stress can also help. Whatever stress is contributing to the migraines is more than likely causing your increased B/P. Pain in and of itself can also elevate blood pressure.
I have had migraines all my life and low blood pressure. There is no correlation between them.

I had migraines for 2 years before a nurse realized something wrong, severe hypertension. My B/P was out of sight. The Drs just couldn't control it. I was taking so much drugs get hte pressure down that sometimes I would just kinda fall down spinning. They said then that It was nothing serious, just an artery fibrillating in my brain somewhere. I ended up with a quad bi pass at 39yrs old....

You hit it on the nose. It is probably your blood pressure. I started having migranes and had everything checked from my sugar, Mri for my head and neck, and many other things. it landed up being my blood pressure and I was only prehypertensive. it is a warning sign and you are lucky. I never had the chest pains. I would see your doctor soon since it can eventually lead to heart problems or kidney problems or other things.
I take 1 blood pressure pill a day and my pressure is normal with it. I also try relaxation techniques. Also, if you are over weight, I hate to say, it does help. I knew someone who lost 10 lbs and it was enough to get them off the pills. Of course exercise helps too and a great tension releaser.

elevated blood pressure is the sign there might be a heart problem, not the migraines, those are a possible result of the elevated blood pressure, not the cause.
If you don't trust your doctor, find one you do trust.
