My boyfriend does not bathe, has dreadlocks. If he does wash off his penis then it is only with water, he does not believe in using soap. So yeah he's filthy. We have intercourse and within 2-3 days after I get this terrible itching, redness, and watery discharge. most of the time it goes away on its own within a week or so, but I have been to the doctor and suffered from 5 yeast infections last year. I never connected my boyfriend to giving me the infections, but it always occurs after our intercourse. could his dirtyness possibly be giving me these infections? I do take birth control, do not have diabetes, have never been pregnant, do not have any stds, we have both been tested frequently. No HIV or immune disorders.

Well it is possible but your probably getting them from just having sex in general. You get it from moisture and bacteria in your vagina. Oral tends to give women yeast infections too and some women are just more prone to getting them. Take a shower or bath right after you have sex. Do not lay there with your stuff all nasty and wet! So yes him being dirty (added bacteria) does not help... not to mention it's disgusting! You must really love him though and that is great :)
You know you could easily get him to take a shower by just refusing to have sex with him until he bathes. Guys would pretty much do anything to get laid!

Yes, he is giving them to you. For your personal health, insist that he bathe with soap before touching you.
Also, it's possible he has a yeast infection as well and you two are giving it back and fourth. I strongly suggest you both get treated and do not have sex during that time, for about a week.
If he refuses to clean his junk for your sake, then not only is he gross, he's a dumpable loser.

he can go get it checked out if he wants. i dont know what the symptoms of a yeast infection for a male are, but i would say he most probably has a yeast infection.

Sometimes lubricant and condoms can cause yeast infections in women. I guess sort of like an allergic reaction. It happened to me. If you are using lubricant or condoms you should try switching. Spermicidal lubricant and condoms coated with spermcidal lubricant can cause irritation with some women so try switching. If you still have problems I suggest making your boyfriend wash with soap, or washing it for him, before having intercourse. Also, if your boyfriend masturbates he may use a lube, lotion, or oil during his "alone time", even if you don't use one while your together. If he does, and then doesn't wash off it may also be causing the irritation.

that's the worst thing i have ever heard of, at least the worst thing tonight. Why would you want to have sex with someone who does not use soap? That is really gross. I think you better get some vinigar douch. Secondly, take a hot bath and soak the germs out as much as you can. and thirdly, make him shower before you do it again, or dump him.......

What are you doing with such a loser? Tell him to forget the sex until he adopts some better some sane hygene habits. Have some respect for yourself, don't let people with mental health issues control your life. And yes, he has mental health issues if he does not do the basics.
