That all schools are all enviormenttally safe? I disagree!
They have flush toilets with water, non recyled toilet paper,
syrofoam trays, filthy gyms, litter all over in the woods and animals' habitiats, rivers, lakes and oceans containing trash and sewage from the schools, food wasting, schools are not accepting enviormenttally safe clubs to help the enviorment, schools have a few recyling bins for certain types of trash like bottles and also sinks not have having water saving thingies. Please answer and thank you for helping the enviorment and the animals!

I think schools are no better or worse than say an office building, store, restaurant, etc.
I do think that environmentally or eco-friendly schools though are becoming more-and-more common! The first link below is a great example of a well designed, built and environmentally sound middle school in North Carolina.
The second link is a great resource that is helping all schools improve their environmental footprint. I think it's a good sign that more schools -- on all levels -- have begun thinking about this.

The quickest change to a system will always come from within.
Good on all of you that have a level of conciseness to see the problem with schools and other public facilities!
Organize a protest, tell the authorities you won't take it anymore!
BUT YOU MUST ALSO OFFER SOLUTIONS...
Volunteer your time and energy to organize and do the work needed. Most communities take great pride in schools. The right intention and presentation could source all kinds of support and donations...
Be proud of your vision of a better future, it's what our great country was founded on.

I agree with what you are saying, schools, businesses, stores, pretty much everywhere you look there is so much that can be done to make it greener. I really think the producers of regular products (like regular light bulbs)should not be allowed to make them anymore if there are more environmental solutions that produce a comprable replacement. If we stoped producing the bad products they would not be available to purchase thus everyone would have to use the green products. This all really frustrates me, I understand what you are saying too.

Schools are totally not environmentally friendly. Even if they do use energy efficient bulbs, they use about 10 times too many. And that is pretty much the only thing they do to save energy or whatever it is they think they're doing.

You can complain about others, Why don't you just lead by example. Offer solutions. Pick up the trash yourself. Write a letter to your local paper suggesting changes.

My schools were crazy back in the 70s! We spilled motor oil, Jim Beam, transmission fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, tater tots, root beer, Elmer's glue, and wiper fluid all over the place!
Now we have schools that no not teach anything but how to be a Flying Imam, so, I guess the environment is better! Good luck!
