it is highly unlikely you'd avoid infection, but it could take as much as a month for symptoms to show up, and be readable in a lab test.

I'm sure it's possible, but with increased exposure comes infinitely more increased chances that you will also come down with the disease.
Chlamydia, like all STDs and all diseases in general, is something that you acquire by 1) coming into contact with it and 2) being unable to kill it before it infects your otherwise healthy cells.
If you came into contact with a person having Chlamydia and were able to avoid coming into contact with his/her infected cells (rare occurance at best) or managed to kill all the little infectious particles before they got "into" you, then you could get away with not catching it.
However, that's very rare, and if you did have unprotected sex with a person with Chlamydia, you should have yourself checked regularly for a while. It could have a delayed response depending on how long it takes to have a serious infection.
Next time, use condoms or, better yet, stop having sex.

Chlamydia is the fast spreading sexual infection, infact 1 in 10 under 25's have it. There are usually no symtoms, and in women can cause infertility if left undetected.
When i was younger(im 29 now) i was screened for all STD's. I got the all clear, which i was expecting, but i just wanted to put my mind at rest, but I do remember being told that the chlamdia test was not 100% reliable so i actally went to my doctors to have it re done again.
If you have unprotected sex you need to book into your local GUM clinic and get tested. in future respect your boby, and the person your sleeping with and use a condom. I was married 5 years, was on the pill, and still used condoms, always have done, so there really is no excuse to put your health, and other peoples at risk.

It's possible, but it's like 92% of the time that it will infect. Symptoms show after 5 - 15 days after initial infection.
Also the internet is not a doctor, go see one (or if its someone else, tell them to.)

I think females can have chlamydia and not have symptoms. Men have symptoms. Trust me. Imagine peeing razor blades. Now picture having that sensation all the time.
No fun.

I would think you might want to ask your personal physician about this. It's not what you want to take too long to find an answer about.
Or, if you are embarrassed, just call your local Rape Crisis Center and speak to a counselor.

Unfortunately, I would think you'd be pretty lucky not to have caught it, but I would try several more tests and see the doctor too. Good luck x
