Hummus with pita chips
Bruschetta with various toppings. I like to do a bruschetta bar for parties:
Tomato, garlic and basil
Basil or Arugula Pesto (for a vegan you would of course forgo the cheese)
White bean paste
Tapenade
Sun dried tomato pesto
You could make gougere without cheese but with other flavorings, like cayenne or herbs
Lentil salad in endive cups
Hot artichoke dip
Black bean salad with corn chips

Get a tray of crudites and some hummus. Get some pita to go with the hummus. Get some chips and salsa. Check out www.vegweb.com for recipes--they have a snack section.
You can also make a mock chopped liver. I adapted this recipe from Sarah Kramer and Tanya Barnard's "How it All Vegan!":
8 oz mushrooms, chopped
1 onion, chopped
garlic
olive oil for frying
couple handfuls of walnuts
salt and pepper
Saute mushroom and onions with the garlic until they soften. Let cool a bit, and then put in a blender with the walnuts, salt, and pepper. Blend until a smooth paste forms. Leave a few chunks in there. Refrigerate several hours or overnight before serving to let the flavors blend.
Get some crackers for that. I think it's best when it's served slightly cold.

there's a great recipe for crammed mushrooms in "backyard of Vegan" by Sarah Kramer and Tanya Barnard. A tray of crudites with a hummus dip or salsa is stable. shrink up some pita and serve with hummus. in case you will locate a vegan crescent roll mixture, you additionally could make "no longer pigs" in blankets with veggie canines. shrink up fruit and locate a vegan chocolate sauce. in case you have time to bypass to the food market, Lightlife has those Temptation bites made out of tempeh. you are able to toss them interior the micro or grill them. i've got additionally considered those "pork" skewers made out of Gardein (a clean vegan meat substitute) from a company referred to as this is all stable. you additionally can in basic terms marinate tempeh or tofu in a teriyaki, BBQ, peanut, notwithstanding sauce, and function little bites.

The other day I did this: small roasted pieces if bread topped with pesto, dried tomato and parmesan cheese. It was good! Not too much pesto, this slices of cheese and ta-dah, you've got your food.
EDIT: Oh, yeah, that was Vegans... well, lose the cheese and you'll be fine! ;)
