A person may feel "sad" or "empty" or may cry frequently. Children and adolescents may exhibit irritability.
A person may show diminished interest or pleasure in all, or almost all, daily activities. Weight Changes Significant changes in weight when not attempting to gain or lose (a gain or loss of 5% or more in a month) may be indicative of depression. Insomnia or sleeping too much may be a symptom of depression. A person may be either agitated and restless or physically slowed down in their movements.
Deep fatigue or a loss of energy is a symptom of depression
A depressed person may feel that they have no value or they may feel inappropriately guilty about things they have no control over. A depressed person may have a diminished ability to think, concentrate or make decisions.
Thoughts of Death A depressed person may have recurring thoughts of death, especially thoughts of suicide, with or without a specific plan.
if you have these signs see your doctor as soon as you can it can interfere with work, family and friends you are just not yourself anymore and its nothing you do intentionally its just that sometimes there are circumstances in your life that you just cant control. no matter how strong a person you are sometimes we all just need a little help to get through it.

There's a lot of symptoms caused by depression. Few people have all of the symptoms, and it can show up in different ways. With moderate to mild depression in adolescent males, the more common signs are things such as easily-triggered anger, frustration/discontent with life, lack of motivation, boredom, poor self-control, and inability to stay focused on things.
Things like sadness, hopelessness, suicidal thoughts are what people typically think of as depression, but these things are more typical of more severe depression.

There are many signs of depression. Some include: changes in sleep habits (too much or too little), changes in eating habits (too much or too little), unexplained muscle aches, racing thoughts, thoughts of suicide, feelings of hopelessness, and the list goes on and on.
If you think you are suffering from depression, you should see a professional. (even a family doctor can help) Don't let it get too severe. Talk with family and friends often, even if it isn't about your problems. I have battled with depression for a long time. What helps me the most is just talking with people who care. Feel free to message me if you need to talk.

Well they can range from not wanting to do anything enjoyable to crying. Some other symptoms a feeling of helplessness, let your appearance get raggedy, want to sleep all the time, worrying, pain in your body, exhausted felling, just a sad feeling, things of that nature. If you think you are suffering from depression please go to see your doctor and have him put you on some antidepressants. In little as a week you will start to see an improvement. Do not let your depression get so bad you have to be hospitalized.

feelings of being "down"
lack of self-esteem, with thoughts such as "the world would be a better place without me" or "i'm not that good of a person"
changes in appetite
not enjoying things you used to love (hobbies, certain people, etc.)
feeling like you have no energy at all (you just want to sleep all day)
....if the above applies to you, you have my empathy...
