I'm a marine wife and me and my bff ( another marine wife ) are throwing a Christmas eve party for the marine guys. Were having a bunch of appetizers and stuff, but I want to make it more fun. Guys what do you think... girls too, but what would be some fun festive things we could do that wouldn't be completely retarded to them.

Assuming that they are respectible people (unlike the first person above), they will appreciate FOOD....period!
I suggest offering a large quantity of several appetizers. I say start with a queso, salsa, or spinach artichoke dip with a few different kinds of chips...you could even have all three arranged on a tray so they can choose their own dip.
Another idea is to have quesadilla or fajita fixings set up in an assembly line....tortilla shells, shredded chicken or steak, cheese, and spanish rice. Most guys love mexican food, and you can usually find red and green tortilla shells to add a Christmas-y touch, or you can color the rice with food coloring.
Another winner with guys....french fries! Find some curly fries or potato wedges, season them with seasoning salt instead of regular salt, bake them in the oven, and serve them with red and green ketchup! They do make green ketchup nowadays. :-)
Other ideas....pizza pockets, mini burgers served on dinner rolls, roast beef sandwiches, root beer or coke floats (in giant beer mugs), bourbon chicken wings (instead of hot wings...those would be a hit!), fruit and veggie tray with cream cheese (add red or green food coloring to the cheese to make it intriguing), BBQ sausages.

Have you thought about having a Doug and Bob MacKenzie Christmas? You know -- On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: eight comic books, seven packs of two-four (beer), six packs of smokes, five golden touques (stocking hats), four pounds of back bacon (Canadian bacon), three French toasts, two turtlenecks and a beer -- in a tree.
So, you'd wear the turtlenecks, serve beer, French toast, Canadian bacon, more beer. The comics and hats could be "door prizes" that you give out by lottery (give every guy a ticket when he comes in), and then hang the smokes from a Doug and Bob Christmas tree.
(-: Guys just love Doug and Bob. Next Christmas, you can get them a chainsaw . . . .

Welcome each person with a Santa hat with lettering on the white part that says things like "naughty" "nice" "I've been good" "I can explain" "Bah Humbug" "Ho Ho Ho", etc and add their first names to them. It will make a great icebreaker and souvenir as well as a great photo op for a group photo later. Set up an active game, like a ping-pong and/or a pool tournament with little Christmas gift prizes; do a gag gift auction where everyone gets a number and can either open a gift, or take one that's already been opened; set up a Santa's Poker Tournament and let the winner be Santa and hand out the gifts. Don't forget a Mistletoe corner/photo booth, have lots of good healthy foods and keep the music going, and they'll have a great time. And so will you! Can I come?

Make it a Hollywood themed martini party with cigars and lots of yummy appetizers. It is a masculine theme and you could play charades for movie titles of great films.Plus you girls could dress over the top sexy and whats not to like about that. Like starlets Marliyn Monroe-ish

Their marines !!! Make a big pot of the hottest chili that you can and put a case of Bud Ice in the cooler( and make sure you have plenty of air freshener for the next day)
