If so, where can I get it from, as this will be an ideal pressy for my veggy girlfriend so I don't have to have any more rice or beans. I miss meat....

Thanks

Yes, here's a link:

"Vegan Cooking for One" by Leah Leneman

"Vegan Meals for One or Two" by Chef Nancy Berkoff

But I am not terribly impressed with the recipes in either. And sometimes it's hard to find the ingredients in packages for one or two. What I really recommend is "The Vegetarian Meat and Potatoes Cookbook." It has hearty recipes so you, my dear, will not miss the meat. She also should be cooking you something besides rice and beans.

www.vegweb.com also has some pretty good recipes that she can check out, although you can't get a pressy from it.

I don't think this would be an ideal 'pressie' at all ! What will she think you are trying to tell her ?! that you maybe want to end it?!

why not try doing some of your own cooking along side hers?
Be honest with her and tell her that you miss meat, there's nothing to be ashamed of! If she can't handle you eating meat then maybe she's not the one for you...a relationship needs compromise , both ways

A good present may be to take her to a fantastic vegetarian restaurant....you could cope with that surely? She can buy a cookery book herself, if she needs one!

be a bit more romantic! Good luck (I'm a meat eater by the way)

I had a vegetarian cookbook for students, and the recipes where for 1 person, can't for the life of me find it now, but try googling it using: vegetarian, book and students, something will show up.

I would think cut the amounts in half from a regular cookbook. Ask her to put the meat on the side for you.
