If you don't have the money to pay for it, tell her NO. She can have a few friends for a sleep over and that is it.
If she wants it next year, she can save her own money to pay for it.

Seems to me that this very young girl is already too spoiled, so of course she'll expect a lot more for her 13th birthday party. What in the world were you thinking renting a hottub for her 12th birthday!! Do you not realize what kids her age are doing these days? You'll be throwing her a baby shower by the time she's 16.

As I Christmas Eve baby, I totally understand your dilema! When I was 13, I never had a birthday party on my actual birthday, but had one a couple of weeks ahead. Since I am assuming that you are the parent here, you get to decide how far you're going to go in giving her the party of her dreams. Have her pick a parent-friendly concert for January and let her plan a reasonable party either between now and then or sometime in January.

Been there and done that. I have a soon to be 12 yr old,,on Dec 23rd!!!! We are doing the bowling alley party this year. I want to try to keep her little as long as I can. I like the idea of hiring a local band{they can be AWESOME},,and let her have her a good ole MOSH PIT and rock her little head off. Ear plugs do work,,if you can find a good concert somewhere.
Yea, it does sound like you went a bit over board last year,,,and now have to out-do it,,this year. Best of luck,,,I agree a sleepover may not do it,,after last years party.
Hey will you plan a party for me??? Just teasing

no offense, but this is what you get for renting a limo, dj and hottub for her 12th birthday.
are you serious?!! 12 years old and you rent her a limo, hottub and dj...
wow. that is some messed up parenting.
whatever happened to a simple sleepover with 3 or 4 friends with candy and movies ??
or just going out to dinner as a family??
she is way too spoilt!
I also notice you call her your "girl" not your daughter... I think theres something wrong with this picture...

Im a metalhead, so what you should do is have her bring her friends, and get some local band that plays metal, and give them enough space so they can "mosh" but shes 13 so.. this is probably too hardcore for her, in which case its pretty hard to think up something, instead of a live metal band, let her play her music out loud.

Trying to buy your kids affection and appreciation obviously isn't working. All she wants from you is more, and until you teach her what it takes to earn stuff like that and how much work it is, she will never have enough.
Become a PARENT and teach her some morals, ethics and appreciation for what she has. Maybe you two should donate a day of work at an orphanage for her birthday, then she can see how spoiled she really is.

lets see here. she is going to be 13 let her have a normal party. if u give this to her than u will be telling her that i can give u what ever u want. instead of doing some thing better than last years party do something a little less big. it is for your own good. next she will be wanting to get tattoos and what ever else she wants.

Uh, what Holy Fook said.
I also might add that the horrible music and musicians today are not harmless for young people.
