Bartholin (gland) Cyst - actually... not this if it is in amongst the hair.

Staphylococcal infection (boil/furuncle)
Streptococcal infection

Pimple
Ingrown hair

Then there are a bunch of unlikely but benign growths:
Fibroma
Lipoma
Neuroma
etc.

i am a nurse and took care of a patient that had a seriously ingrown hair that swelled to about the size of of softball. I have also seen ingrown hairs surgically removed the size of a golf ball. if it isn't an std it could be an ingrown hair. make an appointment with your gyn and have them peek at it. any "bump" should be evaluated by a doctor though. sometimes the ingrown hairs surface can break open giving it a "boil" looking apperance on the top.

It sounds like HPV-genitalk warts.

I suggest seeing a doctor just to have it checked out. If it is a wart you can have it easily removed.

Daisy got the question exactly right, and, like she said, you should see a gynecologist to be sure.
