The other day, I asked about a greenish discharge from my privates. Every answer on here said, Oh, you have an STD. Guess what? I asked my boyfriend if he'd ever cheated on me, and he said no. We've both been very open to each other in this relationship. We keep no secrets from each other. So now I'm back on here to ask what else could cause a funny colored discharge BESIDES an STD.
Description of discharge: not clumpy, not smelly, just a discharge that is a brownish green.
Today it's cleared up completely. I've had no pain or sores like the symptoms indicate for all of the STDs listed on WebMD. I feel good except for a stupid cold which consists of coughing and a runny nose.
I'm making a doctor's appointment anyway since it's been a year since my last visit. All I want is an answer that doesn't say, "You have an STD" because I don't have one!

hmm... sweeite, have you taken or are taking any medication that can be causeing this? have you had any operations around there, or feel any pains? Coz something might be wrong with your hormone levels, or maybe something is wrong with your reproductive organs? I've never heard of anything like that sweetie... i don't think it's an std... maybe just a passing infection?

Jaci,
Hon, I hope you are right and all I can tell you is to be aware that he may not have cheated on you but who was he with before you? Just be open to the fact that some things are passed easily partner to partner such as Chlamydia, the number one sexually transmitted disease in the United States.
I did some research and the only thing that I could find that comes close is that you have a Forgotten tampon or foreign body deep inside of you. Causing a this type of infection.
Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.
Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.
Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a greenish/ brown discharge at the time your period would normally come. If you have spotting at the time of your normal period rather than your usual amount of flow, and you have had sex without using birth control, you should check a pregnancy test.
I hope this helps but you really really need to see your doctor.

well.. just wait untill you go to the doctor.. he will tell you.. i just want to say that the type of discharge is not normal.. of course you know that because you wouldnt have asked the question if you thought it was normal i am just saying dont rule out the possibility of an STD just because your bf said that he didnt cheat on you anything of that nature dosent mean he couldnt have one from a previous relationship.. stds can remain in what they call the incubation period where there are no symptoms that are prestent but they can still have it and it could be months before they show up.. you could have gotten it from a previous relationship too... just because you look something up on webmd doesnt mean that you can offically rule you having an std out.. just wait and see what the gyno suggests..

I really want to tell you, you have an STD. But you said your boyfriend told you he's not cheating ..Which is probably a lie.
But anyway, you need to see a doctor ASAP. You can't come on "Yahoo! Answers" and expect someone to diagnose you with something, or say "Looks like you have...".
It's not going to happen.
You said you're making an apointment with a doctor. Until then, I would Google the symptoms that you're showing, ...see what it brings up. It'll (at least) give you somewhat of an idea of what's going on.
Good luck!

You could have an STD, or an infection. Hate to say it, but your boyfriend could be lying to you. Men don't usually admit to cheating because, no matter how open you say your relationship has been until this point, unless its a partner sharing open it still means you could break up with him. Good idea to go to the doctor either way as this could end up being a serious problem later on down the road.

It sounds very much like an infection of some kind. Men can have STD's and not know it, whereas we women usually get the symptoms and complications. In other words, he may not have cheated on you but been carrying something from before and not known it. I'm glad you're going to get it checked out.

It could just be a bacteria. Its good to get checked up. Just because your bf isnt cheating on you doesnt mean that you cant have something. If he has been with someone before you or if you have then theres a good chance thats where it came from. Some STDs dont show up for up to 6 years. Not to be too personal but it could also be bacteria that has gotten inside if you or your bf has used any "toys". If not washed properly you could do some damage.

When there is a greenish color (I don't mean to sound gross here but it's true) like mucous from your nose, it generally means an infection of some sort. Infections can be spread to your partner though so be careful --- not a horrible thing -- just not "comfortable" --- yeah, ask the doctor but I'll bet anything it's an infection of some kind.

You might have something else, maybe just a virus or sickness of some sort. However, it is still possible for you to have an STD, it may not have shown in your partener as much as in you. Just check it out with a doctor

We are not doctors and do not work in the medical field.
Anything we say would just be our opinion.
I am glad you are making a doctors appointment.
I think you might have an STD or an infection and your boyfriend could be lying.
