As long as she has not been spayed she will go into heat. They can go into heat anywhere from 6 months to a year.

Cats are really strange this way. Estrus (heat) can begin as early as 4 months or as late as 13 months depending on the breed/mix of genes. At any rate, unless you are determined to breed her, spay her now. It could happen any time and you may never realize it until you're wondering where those strange mewling sounds are coming from.

Yes, and she can go into heat and get pregnant without you ever knowing, ... until the kittens show up!

Seriously, get her spayed, look for low cost programs if money is an issue. There aren't enough good homes available for all the cats and kittens in the world.

Sometimes it happens later when there is no male around. It will happen though so get her fixed now.
