becoming a state made it possible to make more money.......money is always more important to groups that love stuff more than God......they never follow Gods word....they traditionally follow man
So Capt said god caved in under govt. pressure? not my god

One of the first rules of our Church...
Obey the Laws of the Land. Due to pressure from the Government the President of the Church asked the Lord for guidance and the practice of plural marriage was abolished in the mortal realm. It is still a divine principal.
Jesussaves: You're twisting it. God's rule to obey the laws of the land stood firm. God didnt budge on anything.

Not really. The temples of the Lord were about to seized. This was a far more serious problem than statehood. The Prophet was entitled to take this to God and receive revelation.
