It would be a humbling experience but rather than steal, which I wouldn't do, one could go into the store and go back to the meat section and talk with the butcher ask him if he as any bones or scraps he could give to you. Tell him you are in dire straights right now and do not have money. With that bone, and a pot full of water (8 cups) salt & pepper, and a can or two of whatever vegetables you might have, boil it up and simmer for a couple of hours. When you're at the grocery store, talk to the produce manager also, he might have some older vegetables and fruit for you that he would be throwing out anyway...Don't forget Salvation Army or Goodwill, they will help you too....so don't steal......

Nothing....................
1) The very first thing I would do is change my attitude. Sitting on my hole waiting for the "money fairy" is not only stupid, it's a waste of time, NO ONE has ever knocked on my door offering me free money, I do not expect you are any different in this respect.
2) I would look for "quick" work. Where to look depends where you live, there are always truck outfits looking for unloaders/freight handlers. Failing that I can wash dishes in a restaurant, they are always looking, and though the pay sucks, meals are usually free.
3) If neither of the above works there is the Salvation Army, or another church you can always "tap" for a free meal.

It's a sin to steal.
I prefer to beg for money or food, and for sure there will be people who'll help.
The government also nowadays gives help to poor people, you may be able to join a food program if u're poor and need to eat or feed ur kids and family.
And even if all "doors are closed to my face", I would rather die than steal.

No. I'd rather starve than steal. However, I want to be practical. I'd ask from people for some food or go to a shelter where there is free food for people like me.

I would ask/beg and then, failing that (and especially if I had dependents), yes, I'd probably steal, but just enough to survive and with the intention of paying it back when I could, because I do believe in karma.

Go to the salvation army .. ask about food banks and pantrys in your neighborhood you don't even have to go in just call .. if you don't have a salvation army in your area then contact the red cross or churches :) there are many many places that are there to help.. also many food pantrys will have clothes and things of that sort for free if you are military contact your military aid society or your first Sgt :) hope this helps

If I had no other way to get food, then yes of course. But I wouldn't get caught. Stealing is only for extreme circumstances.
PRAY for food? Dear me :-(

No, not unless I wanted to be in jail ... and I don't want that. I would ask a friend, family member, or maybe even a co-worker. People usually don't mind helping out. There are churches you can call, food banks, charities, etc.

you know ...
in my county there are many people that could help me
so stealing things has nothing to offer
except 4 these there are plenty of tress that i can 'steal' fruits!
i can also do fishing ....
but if i were in the desert... i really don t know...
i wish ''stealing'' to be the last think that i have to do...
BTW: i have already steal 2 oranges from a tree... is it a crime?

No. I would go to a soup kitchen.
Also, lots of restaurants will give you some free leftovers if you're homeless. They have to throw out what people leave on their plates anyway, so oftentimes they'll give that out for free. It's just a matter of figuring out which places will give that food to you and which ones will throw you out.
