She has a boyfriend for almost 5 years. He is away and she madly falls inlove with another guy with really strong feelings. They go through fantastic moments. Moments and feelings she sais she never went through before.
She loves her boyfriend though and tells him the truth. He wants to try for their relationship and she agrees even though she is inlove with someone else. She wants to try and get the new guy of her mind. Will her relationship ever be back to normal and will she be able to fall back inlove with her boyfriend and lose her feelings for the new guy?

Yes she can fall back in love with her boyfriend again, especially if they both work hard on making their relationship work. In many cases, she can even get the *other guy* off her mind for good.

hard to know. But, they must have some commitment to try to work that out. I dont think they will have the same level of trust as before, but slowly she can patch and mend things. She can earn the trust back. Its sortove like a marriage getting through an affair.
Sometimes, relationships end up stronger after trials like this. Depends on their commitment to one another.
In this case, I say the "new guy" ought to leave her alone. She has expressed a desire to get over him and has made her choice. He needs to respect that choice. If she loved the "new guy" that much, she would be with him and not her original boyfriend. If she loved him she would not be trying so hard to forget him.

madly in love can sometimes be lust or boredom. she might fall back in love with the 5-year guy if he can make her feel interested and intrigued by him, he has a chance. but if they try to get back the same feelings they had before, that's desperation or something, imo, cuz it wasn't even really enough the first time. it has to be new and exciting like at the beginning, starting all over again, but better, too.

It is hard to go backwards, but with patience and understanding, it can be done.
