Um, the other answerers were kind of harsh. If you are old enough, you and your brother can find a part time job after school, and help out at the house as much as you can. The worst thing you could do is turn to gangs and crime to solve your problem. Do well at school so in the future you can sustain your mother. Remember, no work is shameful. I myself have a long list of odd jobs. I was eleven years old when I started (my father died, leaving my mother, my two brothers and me in a foreign country with no money), and I worked at greenhouses, chicken farms, washing dishes all night at restaurants, cleaning houses etc. Now I'm an English Teacher with a good work ethic and know how to slaughter a chicken and the correct fertilizer for bannana trees! So, don't be afraid, it will turn out fine. Just give your mom extra love and support whenever you can!

THINK.
My goodness just go out and collect aluminium cans , scrap metal , brass taps etc for 4 hours a day 7 days a week , you will earn at 50 a week. More than enough to help your mum support you .
I can understand a ' Job ' is not for everyone. Try thinking, it often works for Non Christians . I am assuming you are a teenager . If pride is your enemy - just walk a mile away before picking up Cans from the street and wear a hat .
PS – Why are you asking this in the R & S Section ?

I would tell you only one thing, man. Fight, struggle, do everything you can to keep your head above water. Life is a continuous battle and you can't put your hands down in such a situation. You desperately need help and I'm sure you can do the greatest part yourself. Go get a job, anyone. Save as much as you can. You know what??? No job is a shame, but being ashamed of a job is surely a shame! Just imagine a big boss doing the job of a street scavenger! See? every job has its valour and dignity inside it, no matter what the job is. And put this in your mind. No matter what happens in life, you're not gonna give up, never. Never ever accept defeat against life!!! Fight!

I'm not sure how things are in Lithuania (am I remembering that correctly?) Here in the U.S., you can get pell grants in addition to tuition grants for college. In other words, in addition to your school being paid for, they give you money to live off of. Perhaps they have these kinds of programs there? Look into it. I seem to remember you are young...well, truthfully, (again, here) I could have quit school at sixteen and just gone straight on to college--university, even. Check it out. You're too smart; I feel like you want to keep learning.
