Companies give different names to the same camera in different countries to curtail the "gray market". The licensed importer for Canon in the U.S.A. will pay more for cameras than a private importer will pay for the same camera in, say, Hong Kong. The licensed importer is supporting the Canon service centers in the U.S.A. The private importer then sells the camera in the U.S.A. for less, neglecting to tell the buyer that the warranty is only good in Hong Kong. Canon USA will NOT service a "gray market" camera even if you offer to pay.

The same is true for all the other camera companies.

It's a different name for some countries...
It's only for commercial/marketing reasons, otherwise it's exactly the same camera.
