My family and I are going to switzerland for our christmas holiday. On the chalet discription it states that there is satellite tv. Does anyone know if I can get the BBC and ITV channels there?????????

We get BBC Prime and I'm pretty sure we get ITV now, lots of ads for Barclays and other credit cards and insurance and things, would that be the one? That weird Boush show, is that on ITV? (New things I've noticed since we upgraded our cable.)
We just have cable, so if anything you'd get more on satellite, even in the mountains I would think. I think you might get more BBCs.

I lived in CH for three years. Yes, you will see BBC - but it is not the main BBC channel...it mostly has game shows and stuff. I don't remember ever seeing ITV. Maybe it has been added to the cable system. BTW, the cable system is controlled by the government, so everyone sees the same thing. You will also get MTV and few channels can be converted over to English. There is a little logo in the corner of the screen if it can be converted...check with your hotel or where you are staying and you will be able to watch plenty of American re-runs in English. Sorry, I don't remember many British shows that will "flip" to English.
