'The last days' refers to the time between Jesus' resurrection and when he comes back, ie the time we're in at the moment. It's referring to the fact that the Holy Spirit now lives in Christians in a way he didn't do with believers before Jesus.

(ACTS 2:17) ‘“And in the last days,” God says, “I shall pour out some of my spirit upon every sort of flesh, and YOUR sons and YOUR daughters will prophesy and YOUR young men will see visions and YOUR old men will dream dreams;

From the NWT. Just so readers can see that the meaning is the SAME.

These are the last days.

The young ones are letting everyone know what is coming. It does not involve any NEW prophecies.

The interpretation varies it is not clear in aspects.
The pouring out of His Spirit, could mean the Holy Spirit that came upon Christ's crucifixion into all the world and the generations to come until the 2nd coming. Some may conclude it just means at the end of times and God's Spirit and not the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit working through mankind, as a sign of the end of times, dreams, visions, prophesy. This is where a person could say God offers proof of himself, for people to believe in Him and the spiritual world. The test of faith extended.
When Jesus was baptized, note in your bible, in Mathew it reads God's spirit descended upon Jesus, but Mark, Luke and John say the Holy Spirit. John further states the Holy Spirit was the sign Jesus was the son of God, so John actually saw the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove.

God began to poured out His Spirit on all people beginning from the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:4 until now when more and more believers are baptized with the Holy Spirit so that they have the power for witnessing the gospel of the kingdom (Acts 1:8).

Peter is addressing both the Jewish people and to those that are living in Jerusalem. The Jewish people believed that they were the only ones who had the inside track to God, for they are the chosen people. Peter addressed the crowd, quoting from Joel, that God will pour out His Spirit on all the people, Jews and Gentiles (non-Jew) alike. Unlike the predominant belief that only men can prophecy, the Spirit is bestowed on all, irrespective of sex, age, and rank. Hence the reference to sons and daughters, young and old.
When Jesus was crucified and promised his return, we've been living in the last days. It is like this, upon your birth, as every second passes, you get closer to your day of death and farther from your day of birth. Even though you are growing and renewing yourself, you are still dying.
The whole context of the passage is a message of hope and redemption. It is time to get ready, come to Christ and live the life that God has planned for us.

When I was 13 I saw a Vision. I am older now and I have dreams of the end times and so forth.
I do honestly believe we are in the last DAYS. God has been very patient with mankind and his patience and grace is soon running out. I pray Revival comes to the land!

this is a prophesy of the prophet joel [joel 2:28], quoted by the apostle peter. it mentions God using dreams. so, God can and does speak through dreams.. due to my belief in the inspiration, authority, and sufficiency of scripture, i find it highly unlikely that God regularly speaks through dreams today. at the same time, i cannot conclusively deny the possibility based on scripture.

Well actally I don't know what to think of this scripture. Since the last days are supposed to be full of war and death, and god is talkin about pouring his spirit on the people, that kinda tells me god is gonna be responsible for all the wars and death in the end. And then the rest of it says, " Get messed up on drugs and see stuff"
