EMERGENCY my cat just got Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis vaccination?

Question

shes breathing weird and limping. she wont eat or drink and shes having diareah.
i would call my vet but its 1 in the morning please help

Hi Evalee...I would try to contact a 24 hour veterinary hospital to discuss if your cat is having an anaphylactic (allergic) reaction to the FVRCP which can be life-threatening.

Vaccinations can cause some fever, and that may be the reason she is not eating. If the limping is on the leg she got the shot, that is not very worrying either. But there is a chance this is an allergic shock. Can you risk it? You must look in the yellow pages and find a vet and call him, or even better your vet if he has an emergency phone. If you don't manage to do that, at least make sure to call the vet if she is still unwell in the morning. The normal reaction to a vaccine shouldn't last more than 1 day.

They probably gave her the shot in the leg. She's limping because she's probably sore. She may be having an allergic reaction from the vaccine, which may get better on its own, but you don't know that for sure.
But if she's having diarrhea she'll be dehydrated soon without liquids.
If you have an oral syringe you could force her to take some chicken broth or tuna juice or Pedialite (from the side of the mouth, onto her tongue, not from the front so you don't accidentally shoot it down her throat and choke her). Talk to your vet as soon as you can and good luck.
