I have been interview people for the last few weeks for a job. Some people just don't interview well.
So here are some tips.
1. Show interest in the job and the company (say...oh so easy, I should really be doing a better job, but I will bring myself down to work for you, is not going to work)
2. Be friendly. They have to like you to want to give you the job.
3. Answer the questions. Listen to the question and make sure you answer the questions. Sometimes, when I am being interviewed I give long waffly answers (something I tried to avoid). But I end by asking, did I answer you question?
4. Demonstrate competence. I don't care what your qualifications and experience are. You could have been a teacher for 20 years, but a bad one. You could have a Phd In computer science, doesn't mean you really know anything about networks. Prove to me that you are competent. if you don't want to prove it to me, I have to consider you incompetent. This proof is provided by explaining carefully how you would do things (over confidence and boasting doesn't prove anything).
Finally, just be yourself. Getting a job is a numbers game, apply for 100 jobs, get 10 interviews, get 1 job......not every interview will go well, not every job suits you.
Good luck.

I have been interviewing for jobs for the past several months and here are my suggestions:
1. Make sure that your dress and style is appropriate. Go a little conservative and remember that it is better to be overdressed than underdressed. Use light makeup, and wear subtle accessories. No huge bangle earrings and gaudy necklaces. Your appearance is going to be their first impression of you and it is critical.
2. Smile and be friendly, don't act like you are about to be executed. Look into their eyes when you greet them and do it warmly. After all, if you can't manage to present yourself well and comfortable now, how could you if you were working for them?
3. Answer their questions carefully and honestly. Don't try to be someone you're not. It's ok to pause for a few seconds to contemplate and give a good answer than to just bust out with something random and average.
4. Let your personality show, be respectful but also let them see who you are as a person, after all the weighing factor at the end, if it is you and someone else may be who they feel will be the best fit personality wise.
5. Ask questions, when they ask if you have anything to ask don't say no. Come up with a couple questions before hand, "What do you feel the most challenging aspect of this job would be?" "What qualities are you looking for in a candidate?" Etc...
6. Do research on the place before you go. If it's a company then at least go to their webpage and get some basics, if it's a school or a state agency or something look up that particular places history. I had an interview where they asked me what I knew about the office on the first interview, and then when I went in for a second they asked if I knew anything more - to test and see if I did research in the meantime.
7. Be early, but not too early. 10 minutes is good. You can be in the building before that since you want to make sure you won't be late but I've found it's awkward to sit in the office for 25 minutes while everyone works, waiting for your appointment.
I have no idea if these will be helpful, but I hope they are! Good luck on your interviewing!

Girl the best things to sell yourself in a interview is don't wear to much make up. Put on a bold outfit that show that you have confidence in yourself. Make sure you are sophisticated but in a professional matter and don't be nervous. Answer their question with a question. In addition, study the companies background and find out how long they have been in business so you can ask them question in relations of your position that you are applying for it is a plus. Don't forget too also, ask them how long have they been in the company. Is their a chance of advancement with the company? How well is their company doing with the marketing industry? Has the company have had downfalls? etc. Well wish you luck.

1. Prepare for interviews anticipating how to best answer what they're likely to ask.
2. Know the industry and the expectations of the position you've applied to.
3. Dress formally but comfortably. Have multiple copies of your resume / photographs / references.
4. Be aware of your environment and visualize yourself as a successful part of it.
5. Ask questions toward the end of the interview. It demonstrates interest in the company and increases trust with the interviewers.

Crack a joke!!! Somewhere in between the beginning and middle of the interview, you need to lay one out there. It's a good way to break the ice! Just make sure that the joke is relevant to the job you are applying for.

Be yourself. dont pretend to be someone you're not.
Also, be prepared. Practise before going in. Try to make up questions that you would ask someone applying for that position, and try to answer them yourself.

Dress properly. No matter what kind of job it is. My supervisor showed up in a nice suit for a supervisor custodian job. And he got it.
